I had the worst service here yesterday. I visited the Dearborn location for happy hour at around 3 o’clock. Upon entering the establishment, I noticed that other than the employees it was virtually empty. I requested with the hostess to sit at the bar. She said that there would be a wait. I glanced over in the bar area and didn’t notice a lot of people over there. There were like four guest, but I waited anyway, but after 15 minutes, I asked the hostess what was the hold up? It didn’t look like much was going on in the bar area. she responded with you can either wait or leave. I found that really disrespectful and requested to speak with a manager. A back of house manager came to the front. I believe his name was Dante. I told him of the interaction and he assured me that he would talk with the hostess and got me seated promptly once I got seated it took the server about five minutes to come over to me. I ordered the chicken fried rice Which was just OK it wasn’t very good at all very little chicken so I added a chicken satay to accompany my fried rice. The satay took about 35 minutes to come to me and when he did, it really wasn’t that Great I didn’t care for the seasoning on it.

I remember when going to Benihana, you received a certain food and customer service experience. It was everything they charged for, "For Me." I was a previous every Friday customer for Happy Hour. It was the thing my daughter and I would do after school. Today 4/21/26 I visited the Dearborn location. The pic is the food I received, I had a to- go order but I canceled it after the shrimp order. The thing that made this review was the manager didnt even apologize. He looked at the plate, he asked if I was canceling the to-go order bc of the rice? I said yes bc "I don't want another order with burnt food." He said ok, walked away. The waitress Brittney was awesome. The manager ended up taking 4.25 off the bill, which is half of the cost of the rice. When Brittney seen what had happened, she went and had the other half removed without me even asking. The difference in service is the reason for the post. The service has decreased significantly!!!! @Benihana, "Your customer base are not the only one's that have changed. You fell off!"

We had an amazing experience at Benihana! From the moment we walked in, everything was welcoming and fun. Our waitress, Grace, was absolutely incredible. so kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of the entire time. She kept everything running smoothly and had such a great attitude. Our chef, Frank, was just as impressive. Not only was he entertaining, but the food he prepared was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. You can really tell he takes pride in what he does. Overall, the service and atmosphere were top-tier. Grace and Frank truly made the experience unforgettable. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this location to anyone looking for great food and even better service! - Alcona High school!

Every visit here turns into a memorable night out. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for bringing the whole family when you want more than just a regular dinner. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is lively, and the overall experience feels special from the moment you sit down. It’s definitely a spot I recommend to anyone looking for a fun and satisfying place to enjoy a meal together. What really makes it stand out is the entertainment during the meal. The chef kept everyone laughing and engaged while preparing the food, adding plenty of energy to the table. He greeted us in Japanese and even bowed before starting, which added a nice authentic touch to the experience. The performance, humor, and interaction made dinner feel like part show and part meal, making it a truly fun family outing.

We dined at Benihana Dearborn this evening, where we were seated at the bar and attended to by Brittney. Our initial order consisted of fried rice with shrimp, steak, and hibachi vegetables. However, upon receiving our plates, we were disappointed to find that the steak was significantly overcooked, and the shrimp were also overcooked and lacked presentation we were also waiting on the vegetables. Brittney promptly addressed the issue, replacing the steak with chicken, which was expertly prepared and presented by herself. Her exceptional service and attentiveness made our experience outstanding. We also appreciated Devin's warm demeanor and good customer service skills. Brittney's exemplary service warrants recognition, also her culinary expertise shoud be studied. I would return to the establishment solely based on her performance alone. These five stars reflect the service received from her & Devin. First two photos are our first plates. Second photos are what Brittney prepared. ((Brittney should be training the staff on customer service as well as retraining the chefs on preparation & presentation expeditiously))
